Phase 2 white kidney bean extract has a neutraliser effect on the enzyme alpha amylase which means means that it prevents it from carrying out its function of breaking down starch from carb foods and converting it as usual into sugar calories. By blocking the action of the alpha amylase enzyme, the presence of the Phase 2 starch blocker in the digestive system allows carb foods to be processed in the body with a sharp reduction in its calories.
